Heritage Short Film Competition 5th Public Screening
The Singapore Film Society, with the support of National Heritage Board and Lee Foundation, is very pleased to announce the launch of the first Singapore Heritage Short Film Competition. Organized with the expressed interest of encouraging and nurturing a new generation of young and enthusiastic filmmakers, the mission of the competition aims to recognize fresh talents who will approach our vibrant Singapore Heritage with a fresh and exciting look.
We are pleased that our entries cover the gamut of heritage places, places of worship, tradition performances, traditional practices, etc. We look forward to surprise, entertain, and educate our audience with our participants’ competent works.
On 12 Oct, we screen at 51 Armenian Street, the former location of Select Books. This location was initially a public reading room that was inaugurated by Dr. Sun Yat-Sen.
